WindowBlinds has a trial-time 60 days. I think free version of it is quite good and no need to buy the full version.

Well when it comes to WB5, you don't get the transparency effect with the trail version, also they built in a new popup that appears everytime you boot up asking you if you want to buy, it can get quite annoying. WB5 is also impossible to pirate it would seem as I have not seen a keygen for it anywhere.
